SKYPE Concert (THURS) + Slingshot Dakota (FRI) @ (…)barn
Slingshot Dakota (who I made friends with at a really last minute show at DBA a ‘lil while back) is having their tour kickoff in my living room this Friday, along with friends Street Smart Cyclist (this’ll be their LAST Brooklyn show), and Small Arms Dealer. It’s gonna be a really fun pop punk kind of show, and the sort you wear skintight bike shorts to, and neon colors, and a permanent grin.
You’re probably also wondering what a SKYPE concert is. There’s a live performance in the room, but the singer of the band lives in Japan and streams herself into the set through a webcam far, far away. This was supposed to be at Monkeytown or somewhere like that, but everyone in Brooklyn double-books…
