=====[ SHOW INFO ]=====
This weekend’s really wild. Starting Thursday I’m throwing my first show ever with my father, as a celebration of Wild Style (the movie)’s 25th release anniversary. Only a quarter-century ago a bunch of kids barely in high school were stealing equipment from their parents and breaking in park and warehouses to experiment with their friends and have an awesome time doing it. In the honor of that moment in New York, and the current all ages scene, the show is being held as a benefit show for SHOWPAPER (the all ages music listings), and Todd P is helping us organize the whole thing at the beautifully decaying anicent grain warehouse (and new-found party spot) “DanBro Studios.”
That’s only the beginning though, I’m also one of 4 people curating a projected photography group show called “Dark Room,” at my school. All my photographers were selected using the FlickR maps application. The rest of the press release is here.
And THEN on Saturday at The Market Hotel is the SECONDING COMING OF T-REX! Wham City (Baltimore’s freak art collective helmed spazz-dance demi-god Dan Deacon) has created a line-by-line theatrical adaption of Jurassic Park and it is coming back to New York for it’s second and final time. Considering how instanteously they sold out Market last time, come early!
Details, upcoming shows, funny pictures below.

I kinda think band descriptions are kinda dumb. Instead, here is a shallow peek at what
the bands/projects look like according to FlickR. As this weekend is also a history lesson, some of the hip hop legends link to their Wikipedia pages… ]
