This is gonna be longer than normal. If you don’t like reading things, the poster above should make you excited, and the info below should tell you what you need to know. That’s all you ever need to know…
Things are the same as always, yet somehow different, but maybe because new things are on the horizon. But maybe that’s always. Regardless, here are 3 new things for certain:
1) SUBWAY SHOW THIS WEEKEND. I have no idea what’s going to happen, and I’m very excited. Will it be incredible? Will it be a disaster? Only time will tell! And whichever way it turns out, probably you will, too, to your friends, who weren’t there, and then you will make them watch a YouTube video, on repeat, for hours on end, and continually point out the part where you were playing the kazoo. COME TO THE SUBWAY SHOW!
2) SELFISH ART CRAP. Look at me! Taking photos again, and putting white-out on newsprint for some reason. Don’t expect it to end.
3) NEW LOOK (synthetic?) SAME FEEL (confused.) …fucking hell, even user-friendly web design tinkering is time-consuming as fuck. I wouldn’t call it a new website, but this is a (different!) readymade layout that I’m trying to rearrange things in. Expect real layout takeover sometime in the next millenia, with new non-barbershop colors, graphics, and other junk, but for now any sorta of utilitarian feedback would be sweet. On the short list of fancy bullshit is links you can use to book shows, thanking all my new friends properly, listing shows I work “with,” tagging 3 years of shows, and other ways for me to contribute to the terrifying swell of metadata in our networked, mediated work. Woop-woop! P.S. Do you know these internet-things? Email me :P (I use this to imply I’m following the text with a “retard” face, which is a self-defensive maneuver when something was necessary to say, but might have sounded stupid. Do other people understand this? There are so many symbols new symbols in language now…)
=====[ SATURDAY / APRIL 18TH ]=====
1 TRAIN SUBWAY SHOW!
@
South Ferry Station (map) > Van Cortlant Park (map)
Real times! For real! Don’t be late! We’ll be gone!
5PM
(end of the platform!)
6PM
The Eskalators
(on the train)
7PM
Graffiti Monsters
The Mighty Handful
(in Van Cortlandt Park)
[ NOTE! ]
I would highly recommend not smoking on the platform/train car. It’s invasive enough to be dancing in a stranger’s lap. If you happen to bring booze, keep it on the d/l. Both of these things could result in you getting a ticket, and then you’d miss the show!
