If you’ve ever wanted your artwork on the cover of Showpaper, here’s your (first) chance. Deadline’s this Sunday; next round won’t be for another three months, so dust off your portfolio now!

Actually read-able specs available here.

Email questions to showpaper@gmail.com.

[ SATURDAY / OCTOBER 18TH ]

Remember last time The So So Glos went off the conquer the country? Well, it’s happening again, and this time with an even sicker album that’ll clear them a spot between every DIY PA system from coast to coast.

And who better to see them off than their blown-up buddies Titus Andronicus, Le Rug (still hot off their third album running), and new found friends Asa Ransom?

8pm / $5 / ALL AGES (forever)

[ BAND INFO ]

I kinda think band descriptions are dumb. Instead, here is a shallow peek at what the bands look like according to FlickR.

=====[ BAND INFO ]=====

I don’t like band descriptions much, and live photos are funnier. If I got it off FlickR, there’s a credit link. If there’s no credit link, it was pulled from the band’s myspace. The band names link to the band’s myspace, unless they actually have a website.

We dream of un-confiscated forties, shit-cheap liquor off a plywood bar, smoking inside, bands in the backyard, in the basement, in the bathtub. Out of necessity, we do shows at venues that are pretty lenient by New York standards, but in a perfect world every show would happen at home (in this city of eternal roommates). To get to the nitty-gritty, if you have a space, and think music forcefully shoved inside might work for us both, drop us an email. We can use all shapes and sizes, from pretty little alleyways or back porches for an acoustic kind of good time, or an industrial-looking basement for around 100 kids to spazz the fuck out in…
